Sign It! 

Your art from yesterday’s activity was WONDERFUL! Now we need to sign it! Everyone should have a signature, it is time to start establishing yours.

This activity is pulled from our Virtual ExCEL Camps happening summer of 2020! While these activities are written to fit into the larger lesson plan of the camp themes, you can complete them with your little one at any time. Learn more about our Virtual ExCEL Summer Camp here!

Appropriate Age Range: Jr. High

Materials Needed:

• Pen
• Paper
• Parent or Guardian
• Signature Guide if available

Activity: 

Ask mom and dad to sign their name on a piece of paper 3 times each , watch or feel as they do it. I bet their hand moves the same way each time. Now, ask them to help you sign your name! Practice makes perfect so try, try, try again!

Outcome:

Did your signature become more consistent as you wrote it over and over? It should. Your signature should look the same every time you write it. Keep practicing and your hand will eventually just learn what to do! And the best part is that it’s uniquely yours! Now you can confidently sign letters, cards, and important documents.
